Wild Weather+Science Unit=Loads of Teachable Moments

Our wild weather this week helped make science come alive as students were able to observe most of the weather we studied. It seems that the only weather pattern we missed was snow... but we do live in Texas, so who knows :)Check out these pictures of the wind socks we made to measure wind direction. We had a great time using these science tools at different locations around the school.

As we explored Social Studies this week, we read the book "A House is a House for Me". After reading, we began to brainstorm other types of "houses" and then created our own "A House is a House for Me" book! Check out our digital story below!
